Blue & White
Blue and white ceramics started in China but spread throughout Europe, as it was the most desirable trading good from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries. The formula for the glaze was a highly guarded secret until the Dutch managed to produce their own blue and white tin glazed earthenware in the 1600's, known as Delft ware.
